Brady Corcoran is a versatile musician and multi-instrumentalist with a diverse background in both music and technology. After earning a Bachelor’s in Finance (with a minor in Jazz Studies) from Michigan State University in 2009, Brady went on to graduate as Valedictorian from Full Sail University in 2010 with a degree in Recording Engineering. He was also voted “Outstanding Achiever” by faculty and students, and gave the commencement speech at graduation.
Brady then moved to Los Angeles, where he landed a job at Record Plant Recording Studios in the heart of Hollywood, bumping shoulders with A-List artists and musicians (including Chris Brown, David Guetta, Timbaland, Lil’ Wayne, Alicia Keys, and Nelly, among others). He also worked at Paramount Recording Studios as an assistant to songwriting and production team, Orange Factory Music. He also worked as a private music instructor, freelance musician, and co-founded his own songwriting and production team, Sweater Party Music, LLC.
Moving back home to Traverse City in 2014 to start a family, Brady worked as an Audio Technology and Music instructor at Northwestern Michigan College, eventually becoming the Audio Technology program coordinator in 2020. Before leaving NMC in 2024, Brady helped grow the program from 10 students (post-COVID) to over 60 students while developing personal and professional relationships with venues, event coordinators, and audio professionals throughout the region.
In addition his music, Brady wrote and directed the critically acclaimed documentary Lightheaded: A Gordon Lightfoot State of Mind, available on major streaming platforms.
Currently residing in Traverse City with his wife Erika, daughter Evelyn (8), son Leo (5), and their mini-golden doodle Coco, Brady performs regularly as a solo singer-songwriter, as well as with his band, Sweater Party. He also continues to play keyboards and guitar with Metal Bubble Trio, a 7-piece band fronted by Andrew Dost (formerly of the band Fun.)
